What are cannabis suppositories
Suppositories are dosage forms designed to deliver drugs into the bloodstream through the rectum, or vagina. Onset of Effects
Anecdotal evidence from patient-reported data suggests that patients may start to feel the effect(s) of cannabinoid-containing suppositories within 15-20 minutes. This data indicates faster onset of action compared to oral dosage formats. In
addition, absorption of cannabinoids via rectum or vagina is more efficient compared to when inhaled or taken orally; this is
because cannabinoids are absorbed directly into the blood stream and bypass the liver metabolism.
